Privacy Notice
Last updated: 8 September 2026
1. Who we are
Wish Wonder Clips is the seller of the personalised birthday videos and cards on this website, and is the data controller responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us through our contact page with any privacy question or request.
2. What we collect and why
- Order details you type in — the recipient's first name, their age if you add it, your name as sender, and your short birthday message. Used to create and deliver the card and video you ordered. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Email addresses — the recipient's email address if you ask us to email the card, and your own email address from checkout. Used to deliver the card and to send you your private share link and order confirmation. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Feedback you send us — your message and, if you choose to add them, your name, email, and rating. Used to reply and to improve the product. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in supporting and improving the service, and consent where you volunteer contact details.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information, and basic error or usage logs generated when you visit the site. Used for security, fraud prevention, and keeping the site working. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
We do not ask for or store card numbers. Payment information is collected and handled by Paddle at checkout.
3. Children's information
Our videos are usually made for children, but our customers are adults. The only information we hold about a child is the first name, optional age, and message an adult buyer chooses to include. We do not use it for marketing or profiling, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
4. Who we share it with
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, payments, invoicing, tax compliance, and refunds.
- Service providers and subprocessors that host our website, database, and private video storage, generate the animation and voice audio, and deliver our emails.
- Professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers where necessary.
- Authorities where we are required to disclose information by law.
We never sell your personal information. Some of these providers operate outside Australia, so your information may be transferred internationally; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep it
Order details, videos, and cards are kept while your private link remains active and for as long as we need them to support your order and meet tax and accounting obligations. Unpaid draft orders are removed after about 24 hours. Feedback messages are kept while they are useful to us. When information is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider, and you can withdraw consent where we relied on it. Contact us and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also complain to your local supervisory authority; in Australia you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, private (non-public) video storage with short-lived access links, restricted database access, and server-side checks so only paid, unrefunded orders can be viewed.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only essential storage: your browser keeps your cart and your personal library of purchased links on your own device, and our checkout provider sets the cookies it needs to process a payment securely. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings, though doing so removes your saved cart and library links.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
